JAMB warns candidates against re-uploading O’Level results, obtaining new verification code

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to candidates who have already uploaded their O’Level results. The board is cautioning against re-uploading these results or requesting a new verification code under its updated verification system. This directive was issued in a statement by the board's Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, following inquiries from candidates seeking information about the new process.

JAMB's announcement applies to candidates who submitted their O’Level results during the ongoing registration exercise, as well as those who uploaded their results in past years using the old system. The board asserts that all candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload their results or acquire a new verification code. They clarify that the results originally uploaded through the previous process remain valid and will continue to be recognized on JAMB's platform.

The new verification process, according to JAMB, is designed to enhance the scrutiny of O’Level results and to deter the use of falsified documents for admission purposes. The board explains that candidates whose results were previously uploaded under the old system would only undergo the necessary verification by their respective institutions if required.

JAMB advises affected candidates not to submit duplicate uploads simply because their results were submitted prior to the implementation of the new verification arrangement. The warning emphasizes the importance of adhering to the board's directive to maintain the integrity of the admissions process.
