Government focusing on strengthening skill development ecosystem: Revenue Minister

In the past two and a half years, the Congress government has rolled out several key skill development initiatives to equip students with industry-relevant skills, transforming them from job seekers to job creators, announced Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Following a bhoomi puja for two additional classrooms at a school in Khammam district, Reddy outlined the government's efforts to strengthen the skill development ecosystem.

The Young India Skills University (YISU) was inaugurated in Hyderabad to provide practical skills through industry-aligned programmes across various sectors. All Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) are being upgraded into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs). The government has given top priority to education and health sectors, along with implementing welfare measures for farmers, women, and other sections of society.

Reddy praised a teacher at the primary school for spending ₹40,000 to construct a temporary shed on the school premises, with Khammam Collector Divakara T.S. and others in attendance.
