Google is turning AI Mode into an all-in-one travel agent
Your vacation planning headache may finally be getting a holiday.
Google has transformed its AI Mode feature into a comprehensive travel agent, now available in over 180 countries. This update allows users to track flight prices and receive notifications when fares change, simplifying the process of determining the value of travel rewards. In the United States, Google is further enhancing AI Mode by enabling hotel bookings directly through the feature.
Users can select a room and pay using Google Pay through supported partners. Building on Google's recent improvements to AI Mode for trip planning, this new capability enables users to connect supported third-party apps, compare live flight and hotel information, seek recommendations, and even create an itinerary without switching between different searches.
The standout feature most users will appreciate is the flight price tracking, a function that Google Flights has offered for years but now integrated directly into conversations with AI Mode.
