(Facebook photo) PELANGI JAYA: Two neighboring families were charged at Ayer Keroh High Court in Malacca for allegedly fighting with each other with blows in a public place last October.

W Norizan W Husain, 50, along with her son, Nurathirah Natashha Kamarul Zaman, 28, and her son Muhammad Alif Najmi Kamarul Zaman, 21, confessed guilt after the charges were read before Majestret Nur Afiqah Radhiah Zainurin. However, their relatives Md Isaa Osman, 62, and his wife Deni Rismayani Purba, 53, did not confess to the same charges, according to Sinar Harian.

According to the charges, all the accused were charged for creating a disturbance by hitting each other in a public place on Jalan Permatang Pasir, Alai, around 3:45 pm on October 15th, 2025. They are charged under Section 160 of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment for up to six months or a fine of up to RM1,000 or both if found guilty.

The prosecution is handled by Deputy Prosecutor Siti Nur Alia Safri, while attorneys from the National Guaman Assistance Foundation, Muhammad Mawardi Zainudin, represent all the accused. Following hearing the appeals from both parties, the court imposed a fine of RM600 each on W Norizan and her two children, or a one-month jail term if they fail to pay the fine.

Meanwhile, Md Isaa and his wife were released on RM1,000 bail and required to appear on October 12th to surrender documents and release attorneys. It is understood that the dispute between the neighbors arose after one family member disposed of garbage that ended up in the neighbor's yard.
