Fatal Shah Alam brawl a turf war between gangs, say cops

A fatal brawl in Shah Alam that claimed a life may have been a turf war between rival gangs, according to police. Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar announced that 11 suspects in their 20s and 30s had been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are still searching for additional suspects. The 11 suspects, believed to be members of two gangs, one of which is newly formed, are all in custody.

Five of the suspects have been remanded for seven days, while the remaining six appeared in court for their remand application. Three individuals linked to the brawl are currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital. The aftermath of the brawl resulted in one person being fatally rammed by a blue Perodua Alza, and several others sustaining slashes, as witnessed in viral videos.

Police have found no evidence linking the recent death of a female teacher in Hulu Selangor to work stress. The teacher's family, colleagues, and students indicated she was doing well at her school. The teacher was found unconscious in the staff room on July 31 and passed away while being treated in the hospital. The case remains classified as sudden death, with further investigations ongoing.
