Apple Sets September 9 Event, iPhone 18 Pro & Foldable iPhone Expected

Apple has announced its major product launch for September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. This event will introduce the iPhone 18 Pro models and Apple's first foldable iPhone, marking a significant change as it will be the company's first launch under new CEO John Ternus. The Pro models, expected to be iterative upgrades, will take center stage.

However, the iPhone 18 is not anticipated to be released alongside the Pro models, with the upcoming iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 set to debut in early 2027. The foldable iPhone, potentially named iPhone Ultra, may feature a book-style design with screens of 7.8 inches and 5.5 inches respectively, an under-display camera, and a punch-hole camera.

Early pricing estimates suggest a starting price of $2,000, making it more expensive than Apple's current iPhone lineup. The foldable device, if introduced, could potentially redefine the iPhone's form factor. Additionally, the event is expected to see refreshed versions of the Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, and potentially new technology for Touch ID return.
