Honda Malaysia has revealed that the 2026 Honda City is now open for booking, offering customers a choice between petrol and hybrid models. This latest iteration boasts a significant facelift, featuring a narrower grille and slimmer LED headlights, resulting in a cleaner and sleeker appearance compared to its predecessor. The 2026 Honda City is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine in the petrol version, paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), delivering 121 PS (~89 kW) and 145 Nm of torque.
The hybrid model, on the other hand, utilizes a 1.5-liter e:HEV powertrain and the Electronic CVT, producing 109 PS (~80 kW) and 253 Nm of torque. Inside, the upcoming City is equipped with a 10-inch infotainment display featuring ambient lighting, alongside the company's new Multi-View Camera System, which provides a 360-degree view and includes various safety features such as lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, auto high beam, adaptive cruise control, lead car departure notification, and a low-speed follow function.
The latter is exclusive to the e:HEV RS model. Honda Malaysia has not disclosed the pricing for the new City but has launched a pre-booking campaign, extending a "RM3,000 Early Bird Reward" to those who book by September 30. Interested buyers can secure their pre-booking through the designated website or at authorized dealerships across the nation.
