Russia approves support measures for businesses affected by Wildberries warehouse strikes, including tax deferrals

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved measures to support businesses impacted by Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries logistics facilities. The government's press service announced deferrals of taxes and insurance payments, as well as temporary suspensions of inspections. Eligible entities include legal persons and individual entrepreneurs with losses exceeding 5% of their annual revenue.

The support includes a 12-month deferral on value-added tax (excluding VAT on imports into Russia), profit tax, and taxes under simplified systems (USN and AUSN). Businesses can defer advance tax payments and insurance contributions from August 2026 to July 2027, paying them in equal installments the following year. Tax audits for affected businesses will be suspended through the end of 2026, with procedural deadlines frozen.

The Finance Ministry drafted support measures for both impacted businesses and Wildberries (RWB group) in late August. Wildberries has lost eight of its 10 largest warehouses to Ukrainian strikes since mid-July. As of August 26, Ukrainian forces had targeted Wildberries' largest warehouses, with the Ukrainian military targeting another major Russian marketplace, Ozon, which has seen a decline in its stock value following the strikes.
