Rômulo a doubt for RB Leipzig’s game vs. Gladbach

RB Leipzig's Rômulo may miss the team's opening Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach due to tendon irritation in his knee. The Brazilian attacker did not attend team training, as did Ørjan Nyland, Assan Ouédraogo, and Christoph Baumgartner, all of whom are dealing with minor injuries or rehabilitation. With Rômulo's absence, French forward Tidiam Gomis could take on a more prominent role in attack.

Over his last season at Leipzig, Rômulo scored nine goals and provided four assists in 30 Bundesliga matches. His current form is significant, given that he played only 337 minutes over 18 appearances in the current 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign. Christopher Nkunku, who has returned on loan from Milan, may also feature for the Red Bulls.
