Last week, it was reported that they would relocate to the UK in August.

They will not resume official duties but will live in Britain as non-working royals. It is believed they will reside at a private property in the Cotswolds area. Archie and Lilibet have already enrolled in school for the upcoming term. The couple left the UK in 2020 and moved to California, where they lived until March of that year.

The move was not disclosed to King Charles, who was informed earlier this month. The family was last seen together with the King in July. Prince Harry and Meghan have not been in the UK together since 2022. The security arrangements for the Sussexes in the UK have been a topic of discussion since their return announcement. Last year, Prince Harry lost a legal battle over the levels of security he and his family are entitled to while in the UK.

The Duke had attempted to overturn a decision that had reduced his security after he ceased being a working royal and relocated to the US. The extent and funding of their UK security provisions remain unclear. Following the news of their intended return, the Home Office stated that decisions on royal security are made by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, and the UK government's protective security system is "rigorous and proportionate."

Prince Harry has previously expressed concerns about safety, which have prevented him from visiting the UK with his family. In a recent case, the duke and six other public figures lost a High Court privacy lawsuit against the Daily Mail and Mail, potentially facing up to £34.5 million in legal fees.
