Prince Harry and family arrive back in UK: reports

Prince Harry and his family have returned to the United Kingdom, according to various news outlets. It has been six years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their royal duties and moved to the United States. Harry and Meghan surprised even their close family members when they announced their plans to relocate from Montecito, California to a location outside of London, though the precise location remains undisclosed.

Their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet, are set to begin their schooling in the UK in September. The family is said to have arrived in the UK via a private flight from California, landing at Birmingham International Airport around noon on Wednesday. They traveled on a Bombardier Global Express XRS luxury jet, as confirmed by flight tracking websites, which recorded a private charter flight arriving at the airport at 11:56am from Van Nuys, California.

A spokesperson for the duke and duchess, while declining to comment on their travel arrangements, did confirm that Harry and Meghan's chickens will remain in Montecito for care, but they are bringing their dogs Mia and Pula with them. This return to the UK is not a royal or working move, as previously agreed upon with the late Queen Elizabeth, and the family remains non-working royals.

Harry's relationship with his father, King Charles, has improved, with family visits last month allowing King Charles to see his grandchildren for the first time since 2022. However, Harry's relationship with his brother, Prince William, remains strained. Meghan has reportedly been in discussions about a potential return to acting, though those discussions have since been reportedly withdrawn due to backlash.

Harry has expressed his desire for his children to spend more time in the UK and to reconnect with their grandfather, especially as King Charles continues to undergo cancer treatment.
