Mustapha Abdul-Hamid vows to strengthen NPP’s ideological foundation

Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, a former National Petroleum Authority CEO, pledged to bolster the ideological, research, and training structures of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if elected as the party's National Vice Chairman. Abdul-Hamid's decision to enter the race was motivated by his aim to restore the party's ideological direction and enhance its intellectual capabilities during a period of reorganization.

As a university lecturer and researcher, the NPP requires leadership with a strong grasp of political theory and ideology to steer the party's rebuilding process, according to Abdul-Hamid. He intends to leverage his academic experience to bolster the party's development, improve research capacity, and make intellectual resources more accessible to party members and leaders.

A cornerstone of his plan includes expanding training programs for young party members and communicators, particularly in ideological education, to ensure members comprehend, internalize, and effectively communicate the NPP's principles and values. Abdul-Hamid also announced plans to reinforce the Patriotic Institute, the party's training and ideological development hub, by developing structured curricula and organizing regular training programs for young party members.

With his academic background, research experience, and knowledge, Abdul-Hamid believes his intellectual resources will significantly contribute to the NPP.
