The IMD predicts generally cloudy conditions throughout Wednesday in Mumbai and its suburbs, with light to moderate showers expected at various locations. Widespread heavy rainfall is unlikely, but isolated pockets may experience moderate to heavy spells accompanied by strong winds. Wind speeds are anticipated to reach 40–50 kmph, with gusts potentially increasing to 50–60 kmph during intense rainfall periods.

The maximum temperature for the day is expected to be around 32°C, while the minimum temperature recorded in the early morning was 29°C. Since the start of August, Mumbai and its surrounding regions have seen consistent monsoon activity, with several episodes of moderate to heavy rainfall over the past week. The weather department anticipates light to moderate rain to continue throughout the week, keeping the city and neighboring areas cloudy and wet.

Despite the ongoing rainfall, Mumbai's air quality remained good on Wednesday, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 28. An AQI between 0 and 50 is classified as Good, indicating clean air and minimal health risks for most individuals. No weather alert is currently in place, so commuters should expect intermittent showers rather than prolonged heavy rain. However, low-lying areas and those prone to waterlogging may face temporary disruptions during intense rainfall.
