L&T partners French firm to sell road equipment

L&T, the Indian multinational conglomerate, has entered into a strategic partnership with French construction group FAYAT Road Equipment. This collaboration aims to market and sell BOMAG's specialized road construction machinery throughout India. Under the terms of the agreement, L&T's construction and mining machinery business will manage the marketing, sales, after-sales support, and spare parts supply for BOMAG equipment within the country.

FAYAT is recognized as France's largest independent construction group, boasting a global presence in road equipment. BOMAG, a Germany-based subsidiary of FAYAT, specializes in machinery and technologies specifically designed for road construction and infrastructure development. The partnership aims to merge BOMAG's road construction equipment and technology with L&T's extensive customer network and nationwide product support infrastructure.

This strategic alliance will enable L&T to augment its existing road machinery portfolio, thus catering to a wider range of applications in road construction, maintenance, and overall infrastructure development. The partnership is poised to effectively address the growing demand for road machinery in India. Anil V Parab, Senior Executive Vice President and Whole-time Director - Manufacturing at L&T, highlighted this point, stating that the combined offering will provide L&T's customers with a comprehensive range of road machinery solutions.
