Jasprit Bumrah loses No.1 Test bowling rank

After Mitchell Starc's dominant performance against Bangladesh, his reign as the world's No.1 Test bowler began on Wednesday. Bumrah, who had held the top spot for the past two years, was relegated to second place. Starc's 10-wicket haul in the second Test against Bangladesh, coupled with his 15-year career achievements, led him to climb two places and surpass Bumrah. New Zealand's Matt Henry and Australia's Matt Henry claimed the third spot. Bumrah's rank slipped to second, followed by Henry in third.

Meanwhile, Australia's Rishabh Pant made a significant jump in the Test batting rankings. He climbed six places to join the joint-seventh position after scoring a crucial half-century in the second innings of India's win over Sri Lanka. Outside the top 10, Australia's Cameron Green climbed nine spots to joint-21st, while Sri Lanka's Dhananjaya de Silva and Pakistan's Abdullah Shafique moved up two and seven places respectively, reaching joint-22nd and joint-27th. India's Ravindra Jadeja maintained his No.1 position in the Test all-rounder rankings.
