Freddy Peralta's six scoreless innings leads Rays to 3-0 win over Tigers

DETROIT (AP) — Freddy Peralta had a dominant outing on Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays secured a 3-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Peralta (6-11) secured his first win with his new team, pitching six immaculate innings without conceding a run. He struck out four batters without issuing a walk, allowing only two singles throughout his perfect frame.

In the second inning, Tampa Bay took an early lead when Chandler Simpson got on base with an infield hit and later scored on Jonny DeLuca's double. DeLuca advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and eventually scored on Cedric Mullins' two-out base hit.
