The year preceding this recognition saw Semenyo start at AFC Bournemouth before a high-profile January move to Manchester City for approximately £62.5 million. The final team selected reflects the dominance of Arsenal and Manchester City, which collectively hold nine of the 11 spots. Goalkeeper David Raya of Arsenal, defenders Jurriën Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and Nico O’Reilly of Arsenal, midfielders Declan Rice and Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Rayan Cherki of Manchester City, and forwards Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo of Manchester City, alongside Igor Thiago of Brentford, make up the final XI.

Arsenal's selection was bolstered by their league-leading defensive record, conceding only 27 goals, while Manchester City contributed four players, including Semenyo and Haaland.
