Apple sets Sept. 9 date for next iPhone launch event

Apple is scheduled to host its next launch event on September 9, according to senior executive Greg Joswiak's post on X. The event is expected to unveil the company's newest iPhone series and potentially its long-awaited foldable phone, which analysts view as a significant milestone for Apple. The high-end foldable devices are anticipated to drive higher selling prices and margin growth for the company, providing Apple with a challenge to Samsung Electronics' dominance in the growing foldable smartphone market.

This launch will also mark the first major event for new CEO John Ternus, who is set to take the helm at Apple on September 1, as Tim Cook transitions to the role of executive chairman.
