Ankit Baliyan Shot Dead Outside Gym in Shamli; Mother Stages Protest With Son’s Body - VIDEO

Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan was murdered outside a gym in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening. Three to four unidentified assailants burst into Baliyan's car after he finished working out and opened fire, killing him instantly. The shooting occurred around 7 pm in the Maula Patta area of Shamli. Police stated that the attackers fled the scene before the victims could be caught.

Baliyan sustained multiple bullet wounds and was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved. His body was taken to the hospital for postmortem. The police received information about the incident via the emergency number 112 and swiftly dispatched a team to the crime scene. They took charge of the deceased's body and initiated the necessary legal procedures, including filing a panchayatnama and conducting a postmortem examination.

In response to the murder, residents of Shamli took to the streets in protest, blocking a road and demanding the immediate arrest of the assailants. One of the most poignant scenes unfolded when Baliyan's mother joined the protest, holding her son's lifeless body and vowing to seek justice, even vowing to confront judges if necessary.

Ankit Baliyan had gained fame through his Haryanvi songs, with one of his popular tracks being "Bhari Court Mein Goli Marenge Meri Jaan." He had also organized a roadshow in Shamli in 2023, which drew considerable attention. It is reported that Baliyan was planning to participate in the upcoming district panchayat elections, though the motive behind his assassination remains unknown. The police have assured that they would investigate the case from all possible angles to bring justice for the victim.
