Anke Huber Siblings: All About Frank Huber

Anke Huber's older brother is Frank Huber, a retired German professional tennis player. Frank was born in Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany, in 1974. Their parents, Edgar and Gerda Huber, ran a variety store and owned apartments. Frank's father, Edgar, played a significant role in his tennis career, introducing him to the sport at the age of seven and later entrusting his development to coaches.

Anke began playing tennis at seven under her father's guidance and rose through the junior ranks, winning German age-group titles and the European junior championship. Her professional debut came in 1989, and she secured her first WTA title in 1990 at the age of 15. Throughout the 1990s, Frank maintained a consistent top-20 ranking and reached a career-high world ranking of No. 4 in October 1996.

She had a notable home victory over Martina Navratilova in the 1991 Filderstadt final and reached her only Grand Slam final, losing to Monica Seles at the 1996 Australian Open. Frank also reached the final of the 1995 WTA Tour Championships, where she defeated Steffi Graf in a five-set match. She won titles on all four surfaces and competed in the Olympics in 1992 and 1996.

Frank represented Germany in the Fed Cup and won the tournament in 1992. She also partnered Boris Becker to victory at the 1995 Hopman Cup. Despite persistent injuries, Anke retired from professional tennis in 2001, having captured 12 singles titles and one doubles title during her career.
