AI agent startup Runable raises $21M in Series A

Runable, an AI agent platform headquartered in Bengaluru, has successfully secured $21 million in a Series A funding round, led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. The additional investment came from existing backers Together Fund and Array VC. The recently acquired funds will be utilized primarily for market expansion, product development, and workforce expansion.

Runable was established in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda. The company's primary objective is to assist small businesses in managing their operations through various AI agents, including those for websites, mobile applications, internal apps, pitch decks, market analysis, prospect lists, marketing videos, customer support, and more.

Runable's AI agents are capable of creating and scheduling social content while monitoring brand sentiments, competition, AEO, SEO, and other crucial factors. Since its launch, Runable has accumulated an impressive $2 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) and boasts a user base of 1.5 million individuals. Umesh Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Runable, expressed his company's belief that "software creation has been automated, but everything after that hasn't been."

He emphasized that Runable is designed to address the gaps left by other AI tools, which typically only automate software creation without providing any tangible outcomes for businesses. According to Jishnu Bhattacharjee, Partner at Nexus Venture Partners, "Durable value in AI will be created by helping users actually run their business, rather than just creating software.

95% of that revolves around customers, revenues, and operations, which is exactly what Runable powers." Shubham Gupta, co-founder of Together Fund, echoed this sentiment, stating that "Investors are increasingly recognizing the importance of comprehensive solutions that not only automate tasks but also drive business growth."
