2nd suspect arrested over sword attack at Swedish school

Prosecutors in Sweden have announced the arrest of a second individual in connection with a sword attack that took place at a high school in Fagersta, leaving one student dead and three wounded. The 18-year-old suspect, identified as Liam Nebel, is currently in custody and is being held for murder and attempted murder. The incident occurred at the Brinell school on Friday, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old girl and injuries to three boys, two of whom remain in serious condition in the hospital.

Police have stated that they were initially unaware of multiple suspects and are working to establish a motive behind the attack. Additionally, a TikTok account reportedly belonging to the attacker has been under investigation by the police, with the account reportedly featuring several videos glorifying school attacks. The last update to the account depicted a photo of a sword on the floor of a bathroom at the Brinell school, consistent with the description of the attacker's garb and weapon from previous similar attacks.
