2027: APC reopens e-registration nationwide

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reintroduced electronic membership registration across Nigeria, commencing on August 31, 2026, as the party gears up for the 2027 general elections. The nationwide exercise aims to strengthen the party's organizational structure and improve its capacity to plan and manage its affairs digitally.

All Progressives Congress National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced the re-opening in a statement released in Abuja. The exercise will target both existing and new members, with existing members required to validate their records and new entrants invited to officially register. Eligible participants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 and above with a valid National Identification Number.

The re-opening of the e-registration process comes as political parties across the country begin preparations for the upcoming elections. An accurate membership database is seen as crucial for effective internal party administration, mobilisation, and the conduct of future party activities. The move also reflects the increasing importance of digital systems in managing large membership structures in the lead-up to elections.
