Another man, also in his 60s, was found dead on Saturday, near Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju City. His disappearance had been reported on July 2, but it was later discovered that the police officer handling the case had falsely closed it.

While authorities have not confirmed any link between these deaths, the discovery of so many bodies has led to speculation online. Some believe there might be a serial killer or human trafficking ring at work on Jeju Island.
