‘What a kind soul’: Kanpur woman’s emotional meeting with SP wins hearts online

A Kanpur Dehat woman, Neetu Dwivedi, captured the hearts of netizens with her emotional meeting with superintendent of police Shraddha Pandey. The video of Dwivedi, arriving on crutches, went viral after Pandey restored her village's water supply. The incident began two months ago when Dwivedi approached authorities over a water supply issue, which affected her and some neighboring households.

She claimed not receiving water while others did, and traveling long distances to fetch water was difficult for her. Despite multiple visits to the district magistrate's office, her issue remained unresolved, and she even faced misbehavior from some water department employees. Dwivedi's emotional journey took a turn when she saw a video of herself leaving the office on crutches.

Impressed by her gratitude, Pandey addressed the matter and directed local police personnel to visit her home. Following this intervention, her water supply was restored. Dwivedi later expressed her heartfelt thanks to Pandey in a video, but she decided to personally meet the SP. Upon meeting, she broke down in tears, and Pandey, initially puzzled, hugged her and assured her that she could approach him in the future for any problems.

Pandey shared that people usually come to the SP office with complaints or disputes, but it was refreshing to see someone approach him with gratitude. Netizens praised the kind-hearted officer, commenting on her pure heart and the way she interacted with Dwivedi.
