Vote for Audi Stuart Girls Athlete of the Week for Aug. 17-21

Tulare County residents have the opportunity to cast their vote for their preferred high school athlete of the week, with the poll closing on Friday, Aug. 28 at noon. There are no limitations, so voting can occur whenever and as frequently as desired. The choices for this week span across various sports, with each athlete displaying impressive skills and accomplishments.

Cooper Baxter from Monache football shined with 114 yards and a touchdown, contributing to a victory against Wasco. Leonardo Coronado, a junior running back for Orosi, displayed explosive performance with 231 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Cardinals to a triumph over Madera South. Mission Oak's Royal Cox showcased his touchdown-catching ability, accumulating 111 yards through six receptions, even though his team lost to Tulare Union.

On the girls' flag football side, Redwood's Blake Duncan etched history by scoring the first touchdown in the Visalia Unified School District. Tulare Union's impressive newcomer, Kylan Henderson, made his debut by amassing four touchdowns in total - two passing and two rushing - accumulating a total of 143 yards passing and 45 yards rushing. Tulare Western's Juju Hernandez dazzled with a remarkable 416 yards and seven touchdowns in a dominant win over El Diamante.

Freshman sensation Exavier Jackson from Redwood led all receivers with six receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns as Rangers defeated Dinuba. Exeter's Jason Metcalf racked up three sacks, eight tackles, and even caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from his younger brother, James, in a win against Woodlake.

To nominate an Athlete of the Week, information from the Visalia Times-Delta or any high school varsity player from Tulare County can be submitted by Monday following the week's games.
