An Umno Subang Jaya official has urged the management of a theme park in Subang Jaya to issue an official explanation following a recent roller-coaster accident that injured 10 visitors. Armand Azha Abu Hanifah, the official, stated that the theme park needs to clarify the incident, including immediate actions taken to assist victims.

Safety of visitors should not be compromised under any circumstances, especially when it involves children, families, and tourists from both local and international backgrounds, he emphasized in a statement.

The incident gained attention after a video circulated on social media showing a woman being thrown down a staircase at the theme park. Subang Jaya police later reported that the accident occurred around 9 p.m. last Saturday, injuring 10 individuals who rode the ride. All victims were aged between 11 and 44 years old, comprising Malaysian citizens and foreign tourists, who suffered minor injuries.

However, no further details or reasons for the accident were disclosed. Armand also called for a comprehensive and independent investigation into the safety aspects of the ride, the park's record, technical inspection, and adherence to operational procedures.

He also urged authorities to ensure the affected ride does not resume operation until its safety is confirmed. If any negligence or procedural violations are found, responsibility must be imposed without regard to the status or position of the parties involved. The official's priority is not to blame any individual or damage the reputation of any company, but to ensure the safety of the public, the right of victims to receive justice, and the right of the general public to know the truth.
