Ten injured after roller coaster suffers technical failure at Subang Jaya theme park

Ten individuals sustained injuries during a roller-coaster incident at a Subang Jaya theme park on Saturday night. Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat disclosed that the victims endured minor injuries and were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. No fatalities were reported, according to his statement today.

He informed that 22 individuals, consisting of Malaysians and foreign tourists aged between 11 and 44 years, were onboard the roller coaster when the accident transpired around 9pm on Saturday. Police received notification of the incident approximately 11.45am the following day. Wan Azlan emphasized that the investigation into the accident was ongoing and cautioned the public against speculating in a manner that could disrupt the probe.

He also stated that the identities of informants would be kept confidential. A netizen had posted a video on Threads displaying a woman being carried down a staircase on a stretcher at the theme park. FMT has contacted the theme park management for a statement.
