In a live broadcast, the final hour of immigrant entry into Ceuta is unfolding, with Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez convening the National Security Council to tackle the crisis that has been ongoing for 26 days. President of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, joins the meeting remotely alongside the three vice presidents, several ministers, and the leadership of the national security apparatus.

A significant development is the establishment of a single command to manage the crisis, a request Vivas had been advocating for weeks. Minister Ángel Víctor Torres is tasked with this responsibility, backed by Moncloa at the helm of a committee comprising Vivas, the government delegate in Ceuta, and representatives of the Council of Ministers.

This decision will be formalized later in the Council of Ministers, the first meeting after the summer recess. Simultaneously, a week of appearances in Congress has begun, with seven ministers presenting on the developments, starting today with Margarita Robles and concluding on Monday 31st with Sira Rego. Vice President Carlos Cuerpo has also announced additional funding, which will be added to the already underway 180 million euro plan.
