Tuanku Muhriz urges Malaysians to uphold Rukun Negara, strengthen unity

Negeri Sembilan's State Ruler, Tuanku Muhriz, has urged Malaysians to uphold the Rukun Negara and strengthen national unity, emphasizing the importance of the Constitution, the rule of law, and social harmony. He highlighted the significance of Loyalty to King and Country, the Supremacy of the Constitution and the Rule of Law in guiding actions, decisions, and responsibilities.

The principle of Courtesy and Morality was also stressed, encouraging individuals to maintain proper conduct and politeness. Tuanku Muhriz called for leaders and people of Negeri Sembilan to foster mutual respect, regardless of racial or religious differences, and to resolve issues with wisdom and tolerance. He stressed that genuine progress should not be measured solely by economic achievements or physical development, but by a society's ability to preserve its values, heritage, and identity.

Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar, Datuk Ismail Lasim, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that strengthening the ummah extends beyond being a mere slogan and should serve as a foundation for a strong, harmonious, and resilient society rooted in Islamic values and knowledge. He stated that the state government's role involves charting a direction to develop such a society capable of adapting to changing times.

However, the development of the ummah cannot solely rely on the government, but requires cooperation from all levels of society and parties. The Maulidur Rasul procession, which involved 74 contingents and around 4,000 participants, was canceled due to heavy rain.
