Bersatu Melaka sedia teroka persefahaman dengan PH

Bersatu Melaka is open to discussing or cooperating politically, should such a dialogue bring strategic benefits to the party, according to Bersatu Melaka's Communications Head, Hishamuddin Abdul Karim. This comes after recent reports of political re-alignments between PAS and Perikatan Nasional within Perikatan Nasional, which have weakened Bersatu in recent state elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.

Hishamuddin told FMT that Bersatu is not averse to political discussions or cooperation if it offers a strategic advantage to the party and provides better options for the people of Melaka. Any such discussions, should they occur, should be seen as part of a mature and pragmatic political process. However, any form of cooperation must not involve parties that betray trust and the spirit of cooperation previously established within the National Front (PN).

Bersatu has faced various political episodes and is currently navigating a dynamic political landscape. The party is willing to open up discussion space and does not rule out any political cooperation, including with Pakatan Harapan (PH), as long as it benefits the people of Melaka. Hishamuddin emphasized that Bersatu will assess the strength of its political muscle, local political standing, potential candidates, and alternative seat allocations as the DUN Melaka election cycle concludes on 30th December, barring an earlier dissolution.

The party has also pre-emptively mobilized more uniformly for the upcoming PRN Melaka elections. Regardless of the results, Bersatu Melaka remains prepared to face the elections in whatever form is decided by the party.
