Russian strikes on Kramatorsk injure 19, including 2-month-old infant

Russian forces launched a series of eight strikes on the city of Kramatorsk early on August 25, according to preliminary reports. The attacks, which utilized aerial bombs, resulted in the initial injury of at least 11 individuals, including a two-month-old infant, as reported by Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration. By the time of the updated statement at 3:08 p.m., the count of injured persons had risen to 19.

The impact of the strikes extended beyond human casualties, with at least 34 apartment buildings, three administrative buildings, and an infrastructure facility suffering damage. The Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Russia had deployed nine FAB-250 bombs equipped with UMPK modules during these assaults.

Authorities are still in the process of evaluating the complete ramifications of these strikes, with all pertinent services currently active at the scene. On August 20, Russian forces had previously targeted an open Aurora store in Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, using a drone while shoppers were present inside. Filashkin noted that on August 25, Russian forces conducted a total of nine strikes in Kramatorsk.
