Russian strikes on Kramatorsk wound 11 people, including 2-month-old infant

Russian forces conducted a series of aerial bomb strikes on Kramatorsk early on August 25, resulting in 11 people being injured, including a 2-month-old infant, according to regional governor Vadym Filashkin on August 25. Filashkin reported that these attacks caused damage to several apartment buildings and civilian infrastructure, though the full scope of the destruction is still being evaluated.

Emergency response teams were on the ground at the time of the incidents. Earlier, on August 20, Russian Shahed drones targeted a crowded grocery store in Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, causing a fire inside. The store was packed with both customers and employees at the time of the strike. On the same day, Russian forces launched a total of nine airstrikes on Kramatorsk, targeting a store, a local business, and an infrastructure facility.

Filashkin explained that the munitions used were FAB-250 aerial bombs with UMPK guidance modules. The attacks targeted the city from 10:50 a.m. local time, and the injuries sustained included a 2-month-old infant.
