Red alert in Delhi as heavy rain triggers waterlogging; Orange alert in Madhya Pradesh, UP

Heavy rains hit Delhi and neighboring areas of the National Capital Region on Tuesday, prompting the Indian Meteorological Department to issue a red alert. The downpour led to significant waterlogging in various parts of the city. According to an IMD update at 6:45 am, more heavy rainfall was expected over Delhi within the next two to three hours.

At Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, 16 flights were canceled, while 123 services faced delays, as reported by airline tracking platform Flightradar24. The downpour affected notable locations such as Parliament Street, Connaught Place, AIIMS, ITO, RK Puram, and Ferozeshah Road.
