Rainfall to persist across Saudi Arabia through end of week, NCM forecasts

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) predicts that rainfall will continue across various regions of Saudi Arabia from Wednesday through the end of the week. The heaviest downpours are expected in western Najran, southern parts of the Eastern Province, and along the western coast, with the rain intensifying along the coast starting from north of Jazan until Taif in Makkah.

The rain in the eastern province and Najran will weaken and eventually disappear by evening. By Thursday afternoon, light to moderate rain will impact southern Asir, with lighter showers affecting Taif in Makkah and its surrounding areas, as well as small regions in southern Eastern Province and Najran. The rain along the western coast will intensify later in the afternoon, while the rest of the country will experience weaker showers.

Rain will persist along the western coast and intensify further as lighter showers disperse across Tabuk, Al Jouf, and the Northern Borders early evening. By the evening of Friday, lighter showers will return to Tabuk, Al Jouf, and the Northern Borders, affecting parts of Medina as well, while moderate to heavy rain will impact Taif in Makkah and its surrounding areas, as well as Abha in Asir.

Early Saturday morning will see most of the rainfall dissipate, with light rain persisting in a few areas of the Northern Border and Hail. The rain will eventually disappear later in the morning and return to the affected areas by the afternoon before vanishing completely late in the evening.
