'Rahul Gandhi is the Chinese robot': BJP mocks Congress after MP's LAC warning

A heated exchange unfolded between Congress MP Manish Tewari and Bharatiya Janata Party's Sambit Patra over remarks made by the former. Tewari cautioned on X social media that China's rapid advancement in developing humanoid robots could result in a "robot PLA" confronting India on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He urged India to take notice of the "impressive development of humanoid robots" by China to realize the extent of China's technological superiority.

Tewari went on to say that China has become the leader in 67 out of the 75 critical technologies, placing them ahead of the United States. He highlighted the need for India to acknowledge its technological gap when compared to China.

In response, BJP MP Patra criticized Tewari, accusing the Congress of disseminating misinformation and supporting the adversaries of India. He alleged that Congress has been cozy with China, even during the Doklam standoff. Patra also targeted Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as a "Chinese robot." He claimed that Rahul Gandhi had previously discouraged the Indian Army by saying, "Meer daala hamaare Army ko" (we ruined our army).

Patra cited Rahul Gandhi's words during a tense standoff with Chinese soldiers, describing them as discouraging. He suggested that the Congress leader's remarks reflected the overall state of thought among Congress members. Patra's remarks further fueled the already tense situation between the two political parties.
