PM Modi reviews projects with investment of Rs 30,000 crore under PRAGATI meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened the 53rd session of the PRAGATI meeting on Tuesday, held at the ICT-enabled Seva Teerth platform. The prime minister reviewed six key infrastructure projects across railways, roads, and power sectors in nine states, with a total cost exceeding Rs 30,000 crore. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of adherence to timelines, inter-agency coordination, and resolving pending issues to ensure the timely completion and operationalization of these projects.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that delays in infrastructure projects not only escalate costs but also postpone the benefits intended for citizens, businesses, and the economy. He advocated viewing infrastructure projects as an integrated whole, rather than isolated sections. The prime minister called for ministries and states to adopt an end-to-end approach, addressing critical gaps that could delay the overall commissioning and delivery of benefits.

Discussing common utility corridors for infra services, especially in major transport and infrastructure projects, he stressed the need to explore integrated approaches at the planning stage, considering technical and economic feasibility. The prime minister also reviewed AgriStack under the Digital Agriculture Mission, emphasizing the importance of leveraging digital technologies, including AI, to derive greater value from agricultural data. He called for further strengthening the AgriStack ecosystem to deliver better outcomes for farmers.
