PDP urges Nigerians to embrace peace, justice, unity at Maulud

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence by drawing lessons from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). This message was issued by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mr Jungudo Mohammed, as Muslims across Nigeria and the world commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet during the Maulud Nabi celebration.

The PDP believes that the values embodied in the Prophet’s life, including compassion, honesty, justice and love for humanity, are relevant to the current challenges facing Nigeria and should guide citizens and leaders in building a more united and prosperous nation. The party emphasized that Maulud Nabi is a significant occasion for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary character of the Prophet Muhammad, whose message of peace, justice, compassion, honesty and love for humanity still inspires generations.

It urged Nigerians to use this occasion to strengthen national unity and deepen mutual respect among citizens, regardless of their religious, ethnic or political differences. The opposition party also urged Nigerians to pray for peace, stability, and divine guidance for political and public office holders at all levels, while emphasizing the need for wisdom and courage in discharging responsibilities that promote justice, equity and good governance.
