Villagers help trace two missing students in Vijayapura
Two boys went missing from Morarji Desai Residential School in Takkalaki, Vijayapura district on Sunday. Villagers came to their aid after finding the boys walking on a mud road near the village. The students admitted they had lost their way. The school authorities were unreachable, prompting the villagers to contact the Basavana Bagewadi Police.
Inspector Gurshant Dashyal responded immediately and brought the boys back to the school. The incident sparked protests outside the school as some villagers and parents accused the principal and warden of negligence.
