OrthoPediatrics launches 3P hip plating system commercially

OrthoPediatrics Corp., a company specializing in pediatric orthopedics and headquartered in Warsaw, Indiana, has officially launched its 3P Pediatric Plating Platform Hip System for commercial use. This long-awaited product follows a successful limited launch that saw over 350 implantations conducted across the United States. The system will now be accessible to pediatric orthopedic surgeons nationwide.

The 3P Hip System is the inaugural product within OrthoPediatrics' Pediatric Plating Platform portfolio. It features Locking Proximal Femur Plates and Beam Screw constructs, available in Infant, Child, and Adolescent models for addressing proximal femur trauma and deformities. The platform was meticulously designed to offer fixation options and procedural flexibility in pediatric orthopedic applications.

Joe Hauser, President of Trauma & Deformity and OPSB at OrthoPediatrics, revealed that the 350 surgical implantations completed during the limited launch period served as a strong validation of the system's clinical utility. David Bailey, the company's President and Chief Executive Officer, emphasized that this launch marks a significant milestone for OrthoPediatrics' Trauma & Deformity business. The company aims to introduce more systems within the Pediatric Plating Platform family.
