Nebraska online sports betting measures qualify for November 2026 ballot vote

Nebraska residents will decide on two online sports betting measures in the November 2026 election. The Secretary of State's office confirmed on August 21 that both petition campaigns collected sufficient valid signatures to qualify for the ballot. The Online Sports Wagering Authorization Constitutional Amendment petition and the Online Sports Wagering Regulation Initiative petition will appear on the general election ballot, according to a press release.

For the constitutional amendment, organizers required 10% of registered voters statewide, plus 5% in at least 38 counties. Verified signatures reached 138,473, with the county requirement met in 64 counties. The Online Sports Wagering Regulation Initiative needed 7% of registered voters statewide and 5% in 38 counties, with 96,918 signatures verified and the county requirement satisfied in 55 counties.

County election officials were instructed to cease signature verification once valid signatures exceeded 110% of the minimum needed. The Secretary of State's office officially certifies valid measures for the general election ballot once county reviews are complete.
