Motion on PAS-Umno cooperation to be tabled at muktamar, says Takiyuddin

PAS leader Takiyuddin Hassan announced that a motion on political cooperation between Umno and PAS will be discussed at the party's annual muktamar, following talks between the two parties for the upcoming Melaka state election. The motion is set to be one of the key topics during the PAS assembly, according to Hassan, who was present at the forum titled "Reality and Perception: Don’t Politicise Tabung Haji".

The PAS secretary-general made these remarks in response to a question about the motions that would be presented at the muktamar. Earlier, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had confirmed that his party would send representatives to the PAS muktamar, as they had received an invitation. Takiyuddin also mentioned that the negotiations between Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) on cooperation for the Melaka state election were progressing positively, though no final agreement had been reached at that point in time.

He stated that while discussions have commenced, the specifics of the cooperation method and form are still under consideration. Nonetheless, Hassan expressed satisfaction with the positive nature of the ongoing negotiations.
