Melaka Bersatu open to exploring cooperation with PH

Melaka Bersatu, a political party, is open to exploring cooperation or talks with parties that align with its strategic interests and provide the people with a better option, according to its information chief Hishamuddin Abdul Karim. In the wake of potential political realignment within Perikatan Nasional (PN) and the Barisan Nasional coalition, Melaka Bersatu is considering various options to secure a better future for itself.

Hishamuddin emphasized that any such discussions should be viewed as part of a mature and pragmatic political process, but cooperation should not involve parties that have previously betrayed trust and the spirit of cooperation within PN. The party's leadership will ultimately make the decision regarding any potential negotiations, understandings, or political cooperation involving Bersatu.

In preparation for the upcoming Melaka state election, Bersatu has been mobilising its election machinery and has asked its divisions to prepare comprehensive reports on their election capabilities, the local political landscape, potential candidates, and proposed seats for assessment. The party is prepared to contest the election under whatever arrangement the leadership decides, and it may use its own logo, similar to its performance in the Negeri Sembilan election where it won two of the 28 contested seats.
