Man shot after confronting driver over parking space in Nonthaburi

A man was shot at a petrol station in Nonthaburi after a confrontation over a parking space, according to reports on August 25. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Anan, was struck in the abdomen with a 9mm bullet but survived as the bullet did not hit a vital organ. The gunman fled the scene on a black four-door pickup truck, with the license plate still unknown.

Anan had arrived at the petrol station to buy something and was waiting for another vehicle to leave a parking spot when the pickup entered and took the space. Upon confronting the driver, the gunman allegedly emerged from the vehicle, drew a gun, and began firing at Anan, who had never had any prior dispute with the driver. Police found five spent shell casings at the site and reported that another vehicle, a bronze Toyota, was also damaged in the incident.

Anan received initial medical attention at Bang Yai Hospital before seeking further help at the Bang Yai Police Station. Authorities have not yet released any charges or issued an arrest warrant, and they are currently examining CCTV footage from the scene as well as the area where the gunman fled towards Bang Kruai.
