Lenovo says it is 'clear' Legion Go faults 'not user error' and even devices out of warranty could be repaired 'free of charge'

The company has stated that this issue is likely due to a specific component on the mainboards, rather than user error. While the exact root cause remains unidentified, Lenovo has confirmed that it will repair these devices free of charge, even if they are out of warranty.

Users in the European Union, including those not under warranty, will also be covered under this policy. Lenovo removed the problematic BIOS update in August, but the lack of communication about the issue left many users in the dark for weeks. One user in Belgium was initially told that their device could not be repaired as it was out of warranty, prompting hope that Lenovo's new statement will clarify support for out-of-warranty customers.

Despite the device being available for purchase, the uncertainty surrounding the BIOS update period has likely negatively impacted consumer confidence in the Legion Go.
