Leeds and Rangers co-owner snared in prostitution sting at US trailer park
San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has been snared in a prostitution sting at a US trailer park.
Leeds and Rangers co-owner Jed York has been jailed in Ohio for soliciting prostitution, according to prosecutors. The 46-year-old owner of the San Francisco 49ers pleaded no contest to two charges and was convicted of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. York was sentenced to one day in jail for each offence, to be served concurrently, and was fined $150 and $1,000 respectively.
The case was brought by the East Palestine Police Department and filed at Columbiana County Municipal Court. York was reportedly lured by undercover officers from a Human Trafficking Task Force in Ohio after responding to an ad on a prostitution website. The 49ers, which took control of Rangers last year, stated they would not comment on the matter, as it is a legal issue.
