Leeds and Rangers co-owner Jed York has been sentenced to one day in jail for soliciting prostitution in Ohio. York, 45, also owns the San Francisco 49ers. He pleaded no contest to two charges and was fined $150 and $1,000. York responded to a prostitution advertisement on a website set up by undercover officers and agreed to have sexual activity in exchange for $140.
In a plea deal, the charge was reduced to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. York's case was brought by the East Palestine Police Department and filed at Columbiana County Municipal Court. Court records indicate an expungement request was filed and denied on the same day. The 49ers, part of the US consortium that took control of Rangers last year, will not comment on the matter.
