Hearts close to deal for teenage winger Benjaminsen - gossip

Hearts have emerged as the leading contenders to sign teenage Faroese winger Aron Benjaminsen, according to recent reports. The 18-year-old is currently playing for Vikingur Gota in the Faroe Islands Under-21 league, and the Edinburgh club is believed to be in a strong position to secure his services. Celtic, on the other hand, is reportedly in competition with Hearts for the signature of midfield target Niko Sigur, a Canada international midfielder (Daily Record).

Sources close to the transfer saga suggest that Hearts have already completed a deal for Benjaminsen. While the exact terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, it is believed that a sell-on clause is likely to be part of the deal. Trondur Arge, a transfer correspondent, confirmed the news on X, stating that Hearts' move for the 18-year-old winger is a significant step in their pursuit of young talent.

Motherwell have also made a significant move, agreeing a £350,000 fee with Finnish club Ives for 20-year-old midfielder Jardell Kanga (Daily Record). The deal may see substantial add-ons that could push the price up to £900,000.

Meanwhile, Toulouse have entered the fray for Hadjuk Split midfielder Niko Sigur, with the Canadian international also being targeted by Celtic. The Scottish Sun reported that the French club is keen on bringing the midfielder to their squad, while Celtic remains interested in securing his services. Dundee's transfer activity includes a season-long loan agreement for Bournemouth and USA Under-20 defender Matai Akinmboni (The Courier).

Kilmarnock, however, have rejected a £150,000 bid from Burton Albion for their defender George Stanger.
