Israel destroys Gaza warehouse supplies for malnourished children and pregnant women

An Israeli military strike targeting a nearby building destroyed a warehouse in central Gaza's Deir el-Balah, according to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). The warehouse stored nutritional supplies for malnourished children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The attack, which took place overnight, collapsed large sections of the building, including the roof and walls, burying the supplies beneath the rubble. The explosion damaged the entire stock, rendering it unsuitable for human consumption.

The warehouse belonged to Ard El Insan (AEI), a local humanitarian organization collaborating with MAP to support approximately 60 medical points, providing care to up to 100 women and children daily. Sahar Salem, AEI's project coordinator, stated that losing these quantities is a significant setback for their work. This loss will undoubtedly impact their ability to reach those in need, especially considering the challenging conditions they continue to face in the aftermath of ongoing starvation. Despite the alleged ceasefire, conditions in Gaza remain difficult.
