Eid-el-Maulud: Tinubu urges Muslims to imbibe Prophet Muhammad’s virtues

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Muslims on Eid-el-Maulud, urging them to embrace the virtues of Prophet Muhammad. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced this in a statement titled 'Eid-el-Maulud: Tinubu Urges Muslims to Imbibe Virtues of Prophet Muhammad'. The President emphasized that Eid-el-Maulud is not just about celebrating the Prophet's birthday, but also an opportunity for introspection, prayer, and learning from the Prophet's exemplary virtues.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of adhering to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and urged Muslims to translate these lessons into their commitment towards the country. He called upon religious leaders to use this period for prayer, and to encourage their followers to embody the Prophet's teachings of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness.

Tinubu also encouraged those celebrating Maulud to extend a hand of fellowship to the needy and vulnerable, in line with the spirit of the season. He prayed for an end to the insecurity and other afflictions affecting parts of the country.
